Mille Miglia
Die wohl berühmteste Oldtimerrallye der Welt folgt den Spuren des Straßenrennens, das zwischen 1927 und 1957 mit dem gleichen Namen auf ähnlichen Routen ausgetragen wurde.
Seit 1977 erinnert eine Oldtimerrallye an diese Renntradition mit einer Veranstaltung der Superlative mit dem wohl teuersten Starterfeld der Welt. Jahr für Jahr lockt die Mille Miglia nicht nur Teilnehmer aus der ganzen Welt nach Italien, sondern auch viele Tausend Zuschauer, die die Fahrt entlang der rund 1.600 Kilometer (1000 "Mille" Meilen "Miglia") langen Strecke verfolgen.
